Operations Engineer

- Responsible for production/completion and expense optimization of fields (primarily waterfloods) and some drilling with an emphasis on operations.
- Identifying and implementing production enhancement opportunities as part of a multi-discipline area team.
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
- Prepare cost analyses, estimates and AFE's for routine workovers and completion/recompletion of wells.
- Interact daily with workover and production foreman.
- Responsible for regular well reviews and post evaluation of capital projects.
- Assist in field operations as required.
Qualifications
- Requires BS in Engineering (preferably Petroleum Engineering).
- 15 years experience as operations engineer with 5 years minimum work experience as production engineer.
- Familiarity of operations, well completions, stimulation, and artificial lift design.
- Knowledge of applicable production software is preferred (Rod Star, PHDWin).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- A working knowledge of other technical disciplines including reservoir and drilling engineering is required.

- The candidate will not need to create spreadsheets but be comfortable in adding information in Excel and be able to write emails and letters in Word utilizing proper English. Travel will consist of Tulsa once a week, Other locations including Enid, Dallas/Fort Worth, Midland & Houston are two to three of those locations a month. Most travel will be day trips with maybe one night stay over. There are two conferences a year, one in Houston and the other rotates between Houston, San Antonio, Denver, New Orleans and Las Vegas. These will be 2-4 nights. We are really looking for someone with an outgoing personality, that is not afraid to go meet new people.
